Temperature Monitoring Trifold Brochure

Features & Benefits

Long Range

The range of connectivity can vary between 2 km in an urban area and up to 30 km in a rural area

Low Power

LoRa devices only use a fractional amount of battery power to generate and transmit data enabling them to hold a battery life up to 10 years.

Secure

LoRaWAN uses a 2-layer security protocol: one for the network and one for the application, featuring 128-bit AES end-to-end encryption.

Cost Efficient

Extremely low operating costs, minimal battery replacement costs and low-cost infrastructure investment.

Geographically Available

RCI operates a private highly reliable LoRaWAN network globally, including in Europe and the Middle East.

Capacity

LoRa provides the capability for many simultaneous transmissions from hundreds of sensors per site. This makes it ideal for environmental monitoring including temperature, water leaks and other site data.

Easy Deployment

Our solutions are delivered pre-configured. Simply plug in the gateway and activate the sensors. Our support team will help you start monitoring. Typical client installs take less than 1 hour per building.

What is LoRa?

LoRaWAN (Long-Range, Wide-Area Network) is a connectivity protocol being utilized world-wide to connect devices to the internet.  LoRa enables low-powered ‘things’ including our temperature sensors to send the data over a long-range wireless connection to our Gateway. It can be visualized as similar to WiFi or Bluetooth (BLE) connection, but needing much less power (hence the 10-yr battery), and having a far greater connection range (our TxH sensors connect from up to 1000 feet away). LoRa is encrypted without needing WiFi passwords, delivering better security to your business.
